How to Use Inner Guidance to Alleviate Stress and Anxiety

I’ve been through some really stressful times in my life, as I’m sure you have too. From being scared of dying as I lay in a hospital with a life threatening disease to being medically evacuated out of a 3rd world country because I started to give premature birth 8 weeks too early, I’ve had some really stressful experiences. How did I get through it? I owe my anxiety relief to my relationship to inner guidance. My inner guidance is really a nice term for messages from my angels, my guides and something bigger than me. You too have access to your angels, your guides and divine guidance, and it’s not hard to get their help. You just have to ask, and they’ll respond through your inner voice, your intuition.

You may have heard about my intuition saving my life. My doctor, an infectious disease specialist I had found through my intuition, had just discovered I was suffering from endocarditis that went undetected by previous doctors and he put me in the hospital that day. By the time I arrived I could barely stand up and I ached all over. I had sepsis. I remember lying in my hospital bed the first morning after I arrived through the emergency room. As I lay there, my big joints hurt so badly; I thought I guess this is what happens when you have a bad bacterial infection in your system. The first antibiotic they tried I had a bad reaction to, so they switched to a different one. They were waiting to see how I did on that antibiotic and if it would kill the kind of bacteria I had, which they said was not usually found in your blood stream. Lying there, I realized I could die and started to feel really anxious and scared.

As I always do when I’m stressed or anxious, I prayed and asked for my angels for guidance. I asked for them to be with me and to let me know what’s going to happen. In my head, I heard them whisper in a soft tone, “You’re going to be okay.” Then I found myself looking down at my bent knees in the bed and saw my hospital gown was covered in the word “Angel” which seemed to be it’s brand name. The messages were comforting. I asked them, “How am I going to get through this?” and they replied, “Moment to moment.” I knew they meant to be in the moment, and not think about the past or the future. So I remained present and my fear started to go away. I was on the path to getting well again, but along the way I had lots of challenges. My angels and guides were there to help me every step of the way.

How can you communicate with your divine counsel, which can be whatever you wish to call them? It’s simple, by asking and then believing you’ll get an answer. You will get an answer, you always do. It is often through the popups in your head that are called intuitive messages. When you’re stressed and anxious, you can alleviate the fear with your divine support group. But first you have to develop your relationship with them, or more you need to get to know them and hear them. They have always had a relationship with you, may not have noticed. Developing a relationship with them is just asking them a question, believing they’ll answer, and then knowing how they answer through your intuition. So develop your intuition skill and you’ll hear them more easily. Their messages will help you alleviate your stress and anxiety.
