Many people hesitate to develop their intuition because they fear doing something “bad” or improper. They worry that exploring their intuitive side might get them into trouble. Often, these fears stem from family members or parents who taught them that listening to an intuitive message is wrong, or worse, a sin. Despite this, many feel deep down that following their intuition isn’t wrong. So, they seek out ways to learn about intuition quietly, often feeling isolated in their journey.
Feeling isolated in your enthusiasm for the magic we all have can be disheartening. You don’t want to ignore that divine wisdom that has been guiding you since you can remember. This guidance feels like a core part of who you are, yet societal norms often pressure us to dismiss it. Even in the professional world, admitting you use your intuition can be taboo. A study of 1,300 management executives worldwide revealed that while nearly 80% use their intuition for important business decisions, only 50% would admit it. Despite successful figures like Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson, and Oprah Winfrey openly attributing their success to intuition, many still hesitate to embrace it publicly.
Why are we so afraid to acknowledge our intuition’s role in decision-making? It’s largely due to history and culture. In the past, controlling the masses meant discouraging internal guidance. If people received direction internally, they became harder to control. Rules and directives from authority figures were easier to manage. This isn’t to say rules aren’t necessary, but perhaps we’ve ignored our inner guidance for too long.
Intuition tends to be nebulous, hard to quantify, and intangible
It often defies logical explanation. You might find yourself thinking, “I’m not sure how I came up with that solution, but it works!” This is because intuition doesn’t come from the thinking part of our brains; it comes from a deeper, more instinctive place. It’s part of our biology, offering useful and sometimes profound information. So, don’t worry about using your intuition—it’s an integral part of who we are.
However, be cautious of charlatans who exploit others by claiming to remove curses or attachments for a high fee. They prey on fear and offer temporary solutions, demanding repeat visits. I recently encountered such a person at an expo. This individual claimed they were the only one who could remove harmful attachments, but only for a week, necessitating constant return visits. My advice? Stay away from them. They manipulate genuine curiosity and fear for profit.
Knowledge is the best way to combat fear
When you understand what you’re afraid of, you can walk more confidently. Follow what feels right deep inside. Does it give you solace and calm? Or is it your thinking and judging mind holding you back? If you desire to know more, explore it. Research and knowledge expand your understanding, allowing you to make informed decisions. The more you know, the less power fear has over you.
Intuition is a real and valuable asset
It is part of us physically, mentally, and spiritually. It helps us make better decisions, gives us confidence, and comforts us with the knowledge we need to do our best. It’s our hotline to divine guidance. It influences all areas of living a better life—from making better decisions to gaining confidence and comfort in knowing we have access to necessary knowledge. This guidance is always available to lead us to our highest good, protecting and caring for us.
Here’s how to keep fear from stopping your intuition
Remember, intuition is inside all of us. We just need to learn how to access it properly. It’s private and internal, so no one else can see it. This privacy is a good thing because it means you can develop your intuition without anyone knowing. That’s why my online classes on intuition are so popular. People can take them in the privacy of their own homes, away from prying eyes. My Trust Yourself intuition course is perfect for this. Plus, you can connect with like-minded individuals in my community membership called the Intuition Development Circle. Here, you’ll find others who share your enthusiasm for intuition, offering support and encouragement along the way. People can practice good intuition exercises there without fear of prying eyes.
I wish I had these resources when I was learning about intuition. I understand when people in my lectures don’t want anyone to know they’re there. The fear of judgment can be paralyzing. But you don’t need to be afraid. You can still become more intuitive on your own, without anyone knowing. The journey to embracing your intuition is a deeply personal one, and it’s okay to take it at your own pace and in your own space.
Exploring your intuition is a journey worth taking. It opens up a world of inner wisdom and guidance that is invaluable. Trust yourself and take that first step, knowing that you’re not alone and that many have walked this path before you, finding immense value and support in their intuitive abilities.
