In our last blog post, we talked about the first of the top 3 mistakes people make with their intuition. The first mistake was thinking that every intuitive message you receive must be acted on right away. Not every intuitive message you get is meant for you to act on. In fact, your intuition is merely giving you information, just like reading the news. You don’t have to act on all of your intuitive messages. In this post we’ll go over the second most common mistake people make with their intuition.
The second mistake people often make with their intuition is thinking you have to do something special to make intuition happen. You may have heard that accessing intuition requires a special state of mind. Sometimes you hear that you have to be in a special trance state to get your deep intuitive messages, or that you need to close your eyes and look at your third eye chakra. Other times I have heard that you have to special things to prepare yourself. For instance, you have to eat certain foods, stay away from others. Perhaps you've heard that unless you open certain energy portals or do special meditations otherwise you won’t get your intuitive messages. The good news is you don’t need to do any of those things to fully access your intuition.
What about the impact on your intuition of eating certain foods or staying away from ingesting or exposing yourself to certain things? When you are healthy all things can work better for you that includes your intuition. So if you want to avoid foods that are bad for you, that can help your intuition, but it’s not required. In fact, a bunch of the things suggested to help your intuition is about being healthier in some form or fashion. There are things you can do to help you practice hearing and recognizing your intuition such as meditation. Meditation helps you practice calming down your thinking mind and noticing your intuitive mind. But, you don’t need to be in meditation to receive intuitive messages. A meditation practice in general is good, but again, not required to access your intuition.
Because your brain is built to be intuitive, you already have your intuition on and ready to go all the time. The key is to be able to recognize your intuitive messages. For that, you need to know what the characteristics of intuition are. The next step is to make sure that you are open to what you may receive when you work with your intuition. That means no judging, no deduction or trying to figure out the answer. By using the Intuition on Demand technique you’ll be able to know how to be open, and it’s easier than you think.
